Hello.
Anyone here with a Windows 2000 / Geforce FX with latest drivers/ Direct X 9 system running Wizards and Warriors? (even in software mode only) I have such a system, and despite efforts of the Forum team (Btw very friendly and kind guys)here, I cannot make this holy game work. I launch, get the start screen with music for a couple of seconds and then CRASH back to Windows desktop. Damnit, its a real pain. So back to my question .... anyone ? Thank you. |
One more precision : Sound is nForce 2 chip.

I dunno anything about the tech part of the game....but although I think I did hear something about W&W not being that compatible with DirectX 9....could that be the problem? Anyways...better wait till the real techies in this board respond...

I think there is a copy of DirectX on your W&W cd (the install one).
Mayhaps trying that might help. Sorry, but I'm no techno whiz myself. Despite doing 2 years of IT at high school. :( Moiraine Sedai |
Did we (oh listen to me saying "we") ever find some help / solution for Scipion???

Hello,
I have had that same problem and went for days trying different things with W&W tech support and the only thing that worked for me was to install direct X7 of corse you can't really uninstall direct X so I had to re-format and from there installed the game all over again worked for me. Domber |
