Can i just know that what is the highest roll in ability scores of ur main character without playing cheats? Just tell me ur race class and highest total score. My main character literally become a fighter/mage even though he is a pure class Necromancer. The full stat point should be 108 point and I managed to roll him a 95. It took me 3 tedious hours rolling to get this result:

Strength: 17
Dexterity: 16
Constitution: 16
Wisdom: 18
Intelligent: 18
Charsima: 10

The other thing i want to know from u guys is that what is the best party in BG1? My party which i consider to be a flawless non-evil party consist of:

Khalid
Ajantis
Kivan
Imoen
Branwen
Tealon (Main character, Necro)

The main reason i choose them is becz they are the best non-evil NPC around. They also have good altributes and they are single class (I do not prefer Dual and Multi-class becz they are not really focusing on their first class ability). Since all my party member consist of different pure classes,i can use their different unique ability to fight a battle and complete quest etc.

So what u guys think of the best party in BG?

Your still thinking in the wrong context, Smith. The idea of this game is not to have a perfect char or a party that beat anything or anybody. It's just supposed to be a game that you can enjoy playing from different perspectives. On the BG2 forum someone had a good term for major powergamers: munchkin lords. This goes right back to the role player vs power gamer discussion that your last thread took part in. Have you tried a game in which you didn't reroll your stats, or not max out only the abilities you 'need' for that char? If you haven't, you most definitely should, it's very liberating to just enjoy the game and not worry about obtaining every item in the game, or every quest around. Play from the perspective of your char; would he enjoy the company of the people currently in your party? Would he want to use a certain weapon because of sentimental value, or discard another because some foul creature used it? You decide, that's what it's all about. It's not supposed to be some slug-feast where u get everything u can and then kill everyone else, it's a gaming experience. You make your own story, what would you want your char to be known for?

For optimal power gaming, go play any of the diablo games. They're great runs of nothing but hack, slash, and the occasional conversation. BG is more roleplaying and will be more enjoyable if you play it to that end. Powergaming is fun in BG, for awhile, then you may begin to pick up character psyche conflicts in your actions that really throw off your whole mood.

There is no one "best" party combination. There have been tons of various party combinations that have been successful. Here is the one I chose to form and did quite well:

* By the way, play any way you like as long as you are having fun. Its your game, afterall you bought it! I guarantee, however, that if you play the third or fourth time through you'll be less concerned about the perfect party and items, while the story and gameplay itself will rise to the top.

While I agree that I have better things to do with my time than powergame, that doesn't mean that Agent Smith's way of looking at things is "wrong." Different people hold different opinions, and if Smith wants to roll his characters to have only 3 Dexterity because he knows where the Gauntlets are, well, then that's his decision.

My highest stat roll ever was a 97, on a Paladin. I forget precisely how I allocated the points, though. The highest that I can remember with precision was a Cleric/Mage, with whom I went straight for the Munchkin Award and gave stats of 5/18/18/18/18/18.

As has been pointed out, there's no such thing as a "best" party. I just tend to prefer a setup of:
1 Main Tank
At least 1 Backup Tank
1.5 Thieves
A good Cleric
Half a Mage
(In BG2, the setup changes somewhat, to become Half a Thief, half a Druid, at least half a Cleric, and at least 1.5 Wizards.)

My idea of a kickass party would be:
Coran
Imoen
Yeslick
Kivan
Ajantis
PC (which class doesn't matter, the 5 NPCs could easily plaster the game all by themselves)

Dart, if I remember correctly, Yeslick is a fighter/cleric, and just follow the storyline quests to run into him.

Firestormalpha is correct, Yeslick is a Fighter/Cleric and a good party member to have. And he is also correct that you have to keep following the story line to find him. On two previous games (not my latest)I had both him and Branwen. It is nice to have two characters casting heal, etc. spells. It is also real handy to have two clerics being able to utilize the Wand of Heavens! Love that wand... Just make sure that when you get to him that either a) you have a slot open for him or b) you are willing to drop a character for him. Choice "b" can be real tough at times. Even though Jaheira really gets on my nerves, she was with me in the beginning and it made it tough kicking her out -- but only for a little while!

U are right in that sense, we should just play and enjoy the game. But after completing 4 times, I have already experience sufficient fun. It is time for something different, so for the last one i tried to achieved as much as possible by becoming a powergamer. This gives me a sense of satisfaction and it is really fun when u are that powerful, becz at 1 point i even thought my party can challenge a dragon...

Different ppl had different opinion or point of view for becoming a powergamer. U may think that it might be a waste of time but i think it can be also very fun and interesting.

In the game I started today I got a roll of 93 with a strength of 18/84, took me all of 2 minuets :D
This is all with a Gnome.
