At first HELLO to everybody

I have Question about leveling.
19 from 20 times when a char, no matter what profession, levels he gets only one Hitpoint. Is this normal. Sure, ican reload 20 times, but this is realy boring.

Hello and welcome to the board, Schlonz. We are happy to have you with us.

The whole concept of hit point gains during level-ups is explained by this forum's very own statistics bank, Radek, in his excellent reply to a previous topic.

If you want to give more hit points to a character there are ways of achieving this by cheating. You can either use the roster editor found here at Ironworks or exploit the toughen bug as explained by Chi Master and myself in two different posts on page seven of the Best Tips page.

I hope you find it useful. Keep us posted on your progress.

Welcome to the board, Schlonz. May your adventures in the Gael Serran bring you love and honor among your friends, and careful respect among your enemies.

The explanations are as bsftcs has pointed them out. Basically, there's little to no point in trying to maximize your HP at level up. It all evens out in the end.

Welcome to the board, schlonz!!!

As you've already been told everything will work out in the end so don't worry too much about the 1 hitpoint on levels. We all know it is a bit frustrating and it is very tempting to reload to try and improve the level up but it really isn't going to help you.
I don't know why game designers seem to come up with some very strange leveling up. It's a given that all players want a "nice" level up so why not satisfy that desire? I've played games where it did make sense to reload and try the level up again (and again) which I really don't like. Guess if I ever decide to design a CRPG I'll keep that in mind!

Do keep us posted on how your game is going!
