I'd like to thank everyone who posted and helped out with
my problem with the mantraps,I BEAT THEM!!!!! only after a few trys,
but i did it.

You know the man traps are very difficult.

Im sure they are bugged actually. They are cheating. Kind of terrible really lol that no one tested out whatever their problem is and editted them, even in the unofficial patch.


But you know what? The tougher something is the more fun it is to beat it. Actually nothing in Wizards and Warriors stands out more than those four bastard things chasing you and you running for your life.
I play a LOT of CRPGs and no other monster has ever put the fear of god in my like those man traps. I tried everything with them. When I was stuck like you I ran past them.

"Whats that off in the horizon? I sure hope thats not... NO!!! RUN!!! MAYBE THEY WONT SEE ME!!"

Defeating those Mantraps is a "Rite of Passage" in W&W and for many of us the highlight of the game!!

Random Mantraps do spawn now and then but it is very rare and they won't seem quite as difficult as that first set.

I'm not sure if these were random spawns, but I had a few mantraps where Torin was. I managed to deliver him his dragon arrow, but throughout the Dragon Spire, I constantly saw in the message window 'Torin takes 1 poison damage' or something like that. It stopped after a while...I guess he died.
