This is difficult

well assumedly u already have fire spells. You need to run away. Hopefully u can get them at just the right point where they arent chasing u and u can hit them with distance fire spells. If not, u will have to run, cast fire spells and run through the mazes and lose them, and then fire spell them some more.

The key word is run, dont get hit by their ranged attack at all. Just like the other plants they are weak to fire. There is no defense to their attack.

I never found these genetic plant mutations to be as nasty as their earlier brethren, encountered near Shurugeon Castle.

A couple of keywords which seemed to annhiilate their ability to be overly threatening:
Fire Storm
Meteor Storm
Incinerate
Distance
Flee :D

If you would be able to get them to chase you in to the maze, you would probably be able to take them.
How it is done: When you get into the maze (and they follow) just “zap” around at random for a while, eventually they will get separated. And then just zap randomly around some more, and then when you “accidentally” meet one of them, just take it in close combat… They are kinda easy to kill if they are alone…
I did this with my single char, elf paladin at the time, with out any offensive spells and it wasn’t a problem at all…

Bungleau 11-18-2003 12:02 PM

When you sucker them into the maze, make sure that you inflict at least one hit on them. That way, if they die in the teleporters, you will still get XP for it. If they die without you ever hitting them, you get nothing.... :(

*edit* Personally, I've always hit them from a distance with offensive spells, hiding around the corner of the corridor. Step out, fire off three quick *storm spells, and hide again.

It may not be the manliest way to go about it, but I do live to fight another day... :D

I go with the rest. Take them out with high level storm spells if you can. If not then resort to trapping them in a place where some mechanism will eventually get them. But do, as Bungleau says, get at least one hit at them first. That way you will be credited for the kill (as an assist) and you will get the experience points.
