Greetings all,

After a long break, I have decided to have another go at Wizards and Warriors! I have tried it a coulple of times before but always lost interest around Cet's Pyramid and then deleted it because of the need for 1.4 Gigabyte of Disk Space. But anyways, I have some questions :

1) Where are those Boogre Caves things? I've heard a bundle about them but I've never come across them...

2) Can a Wizard ever get Moon magic? I think it is somewhere in the manual but I cant quite make it out with my shoddy English.

3) The Ranger Quest : the raptor eggs... I remember from a previous game that you encounter raptors on the islands past Brimloch Room, are they to be found anywhere else befor that.?

4) How does one walk up the walls of the city as mentioned in the best tips thread? And the infamous Tree-Surfing for that instance?

Thanks!

1) The boogre caves are up north in the Ishad N'ha area. Just continue north after meeting the band of ratlings and you'll get to a lake. Take a swim to get further north. ;) You can also check out Xignal's maps here.
2) No a wizard will never be able to learn moon magic. He will have to make due with Sun and Stone. To learn moon you need either a bard, a ninja or a warlord.
3) Why not? I like to use brute force in my games. ;) And you can certainly need it early on but it is not a must have. Try without one at first, if you don't like it head back to Valeia and add a warrior to your party.
4) Stand outside the gate facing it. Look up at the sky. Then jump. You will get a superjump in fact. Then all you have to do is run along the tree tops. Beware that you sometimes can get stuck. A vansih can save you but you can just as well end up in the midst of a forest (or a tree  )! To quote Bungleau "Save early, save often. Save before, save after!"

Oh and good luck!

A raptor can be found at west shore of snake lake, the lake between nymph (sp?) lake and the caves with the oracles...

Seems to me you changed question 3 after I answered the original one, no fair!

Anywho you can find a raptor egg in the Valeia area as well. Head up the river towards Toad village. Along the river you will find a small path leading to a raptor and guess what she is hiding. ;)

Sorry, WillowIX , but while waiting for an answer I already added a Female Human Warrior to the party that'll soon become a Ranger. I saw mentioned in the Best Tips thread that the trresurfing trick can be used in the Crypt too to get both the idols so you can take the path of the Warrior and of the Wizard.. I'm going to try that out now.

Thanks all, you're great!

Welcome back, Norin.

You have been well answered. If you are ever in need of more walhthrough-like material check out Stackman's Adventures (just enter that phrase into the search engine and it should turn up with all the chapters). In that story a band of six brave adventurers venture through the game from A to Z. There are also extensive references throughout the story to all the tips, tricks, and cheats that appertain to any given situation.

The fun continues...

1) I have a Ranger in my party for the sole reason of Fletching Enchanted Dragon Arrows. If my reasoning is sound, if I witch to another class, I will keep the Fletching Skill right? Rangers are not that good besides fletching me thinks..

2)If I change aforementioned Ranger to a Paladin, would I get the Healing magic lore? ( cant recall the name . If not, would then changing to a monk help?

3) What use does the Rogue's Stone have? It doesn't show any properties and all...

For your information, I've just finished the Boogre Caves and am about to head for Shuregeon Castle and then the Serpent Temple with my 12th Level Sorceror, 12th level Rogue and 11th level Ranger.

Thanks.

Glad to hear of your progress, Norin.

As to your questions:

1) Yes, if you change the role of your ranger he or she will still maintain their fletchery trait.

2) Yes, changing to a paladin will enable your character to learn spirit magic (the magic school with the healing properties).

3) The rogue's stone has no properties. I think it was just put into the game to make a complete set (wizard's, warrior's, priest's, and rogue's stone). But other than that it is just another perfectly superfluous item.

Keep us posted.

I'm glad to hear things are progressing as well.

One slight addition to my esteemed colleague's information about fletching... in order for it to work, you have to equip a bow. So if you're in a new class which can't equip bows, you lose the ability to create arrows. You don't lose the skill, you just can't use it.

I still remember the day I discovered that one... bye-bye, money tree... :D
