Having finished the game there are some things I never figured out:

1. I had a quest from Ishad N'ha to find and kill "Shrew Chisi". I never found him. Where was he?

2. Somewhere in my travels I picked up a "Gold lamp of Alababa". I never found a use for it. What was it for?

3. In Skull Castle, there was a level 12 lock in G'Ezzerred Ra's library. I assume the key you get from the vampiress after delivering the scroll of banishing to her was supposed to open this lock, but I couldn't get it to open. Did I miss something here?

thanks

JG

Gold lamp of Alababa: summon a Djinn? ;)

Up north of Ishad N'Ha, where the Boogre caves are... there's another entrance to land just west of where you go to the Boogre Caves. Shrew Chishi hangs around there.

2. Somewhere in my travels I picked up a "Gold lamp of Alababa". I never found a use for it. What was it for?
It's a magic lamp, giving you three wishes. Only the first one can't be used on the wisher, but must be used on a different character.

Not much. A few ankhs, a really nice Wizard's Robe +4, and a couple of other miscellaneous treasures. Most folks either pick or bash the lock :D

thanks

Now, the real question comes... having played once, are you ready to play again? Consider using that brand-new Zenmaster or Valkyrie, or consider a challenge match like Radek's Tia is doing. Do keep us posted, and don't be a stranger

thanks for the answers. To answer yours, I'm not planning on replaying the game at this time. I thought it was a good game, but not great. I'm still waiting for the RPG to rival the excellence of the Baldur's Gate series. I fear, however, that the wait may be without end.

Notes.
1. Shrew Chishi is reachable only from the lake. Go to the shore and investigate exits to the ground to your left. You'll find a piece of ground separated from the rest of the wilderness and reachable only from the lake. Shrew Chishi is there. See your paper map that comes with the game.
2. Gold Lamp. Each character can use it only once even if it contains three wishes. Therefore, use the lamp, give the lamp to another character, use the lamp, ... Moreover, the wish must be "cast" to some character. Sometimes, it must be the one that used the lamp, sometimes, it must be another character. It seems to depend on where you use the lamp. I am not sure how is it exactly.
3. The key. Yes, it is supposed to work but it does not. A thief with Picklock 12 can pick the lock. A zenmaster with Picklock 14 can also pick the lock. Other characters seem to always fail but a spellcaster with Sorcery 10 can pick the lock with the Disarm Trap spell.
4. The game isn't great??!?! BG games are better?!?!?? Johngalt, don't tell your address to anybody here or you are risking your life

LOL, Radek!!!

We all know that taste in games vary. I, for one, didn't like the BG games. I've noticed that people who do really like the BG games tend to like W&W less. The number of players that love both is probably very small. That's okay.

My bard has always been able to pick the lock with level 12 lockpicking.

I hope you will still keep in touch with the forum, Johngalt.

It has been nice to have you with us in any case.

Hasting to correct myself: each THIEF CLASS, that means, a thief, a bard, an assassin, a ninja, and a barbarian.

I for one love both BG-games and W&W =)
