I just exited the boogre prison (still boogre) with a full load of junk to sell and apparently mounting the horse is a nono.

Why is that? too fat? too afraid? horse afraid? smells bad?

Guess he has to waddle all the way to town and back.

On the bright side, he might loose some pounds and the horse will take him next time.

Really? I've never noticed that before. Some experimentation may be in order... You weren't trying to carry the horse or cast a magic spell on it or something, were you? Was the cursor still blue, or was it red?

Anyway, by that stage of the game you should have the call of home, create portal, and teleport spells. They are by far the easiest way to travel in the Gael Serran!

Hmm this is interesting indeed. It would be interesting to know if this is a bug or a programming error. I would be inclined to say a bug but you never know. I doubt they would find this during beta testing. The purpose is after all to become human/elves/ratlings etc. again before completing the boogre prison.

Well, my char. is normal again and can muont the horse now. I tried the different suggestions you made (carry, spells and so) and found that if the cursor is blue, you,ll allways mount (and it was blue when I was in boogremode).

Regarding Moon magic I,m allmost there (lvl 7 but still missing Teleport and Call home).

I suspect you,re right Willow, following the games intention you,re not supposed the leave before you,re cured.

That said, I have another problem. I can,t use the genies lamp. The cursor won,t change from blue "safe".

Thanks for the replies

How do you use the genie lamp HammerHead? You are browsing to it in the little window in your bottom left corner nad then clicking "use" right? Try changing the safeguard mode to something else and then back to whatever setting you currently have. Oh and you are pressing ctrl right? Do NOT press ctrl when trying to mount the horse though. ;)

I have always found that the first person using the genie's lamp had to use it on someone else. The next person could use it on themselves...

And apparently, the first person's use counted twice (they were considered to have used it, as did the person they used it on).

You might try adding a mule to use it for you.

I've found that I can't get on the horse unless my cursor is on the blanket on it's back. If I target any other area it just shies away. But it doesn't seem to matter where my cursor when I want to get off.

When pressing ctrl you bypass the safe guard. That way you can attack friendly NPC´s etc. It is also needed when casting spells on your party. But pressing ctrl when mounting could cause an attack on your horse. I haven´t tried it but I suspect it might.

The horse cannot be harmed in any way. It cannot even drown as I have described in one of my recent posts.
