ok here we go again i can't buy any brew
at the Boogre Bar. have tried and tried
what is the trick with my XP system to get
this done to get the Giant Strike Trait at
the idol of bongo. Got to be able to get some
brew--Yup Yup

You should be able to find several brews in the prison. I believe the cost of a Boogre Brew is "5 shiny things". Split one of your gold pouches so you have one pouch with 5 gold and then try to TRADE with the barkeep. I didn't actually buy any but that should work. Any ideas from the more experienced here?

Make sure that you use a charactor with only 5 gold in its sack. The bartender can't count & take all of your gold.

OR are you having troubles when buying? Crashes that is? My game used to crash when using/giving items (running w2k). To fix that, enable compatibility mode and run W&W in win 59 layer. See the tech thread for detailed information.

but still, u should be able to find several boogre brew throughout the prison...... and there are 2 lying in front of the idol of bongu.
also, if u wana risk it, u can attack all the boogre grunts, murderers and watsoever EXCEPT those main characters vargul, malgrim or watever his name is...), they drop at least one booger brew so i had about 10 of those when i completed the prison......... :D

IIRC, there's only one character who sells Boogre Brew, and he can get killed by the other Boogres. So if he's dead, you'll have to resort to finding it in the caves.

OK guys will try the differant idea's and
see what happens. sure would like to get
the Giant strike traits for my party.

I do not know if it is a regular occurence, but I experienced several times that when sacrificing the brew to the Idol of Bongu I actually had the same amount of brews left afterwards. I believe it was only around 50% of the times I was charged a brew when using one on the idol.
I would not take it for granted that the game does so every time if I were you, though.

that is probably a glich in the game: if u insert or try and use something on a special event thingy, they charge u for the 1st time, and if u are quick enough enough, without clicking any other thing, u can insert or use that same thing again without being charged for it. the same thing happened to me when i was in the serpent temple inserting the coins into that stupid coin slot to open those darn doors.......
