but now im having real trouble locating this dragon any help would be great

The dragon is in the Dragon Spire dungeon. Search for a "hole" into the Dragon Spire Mountains. Before you will try to enter the dungeon, make sure that you have the Dragon Plate Mail with you or that you are able to cast Vanish spell.

Go to the west side of the shire and north to the mountain - you will find a cave there which gets you into Dragon Spire and eventually to Erasthmedor.

Have you the Dragon Armor? (Stout Mines)
And the Shroud? (Shur. Castle)

Anything else left in the Ishad N'ha area to do? The Dragon Spire will eventually take you out to the Brimloch Roon area. Some Ishad N'ha quests are actually finished over there but it makes sense to do all the obvious dungeons before the Spire - will save you some running around.

If you haven't learned it already - learn Create Portal, Teleport and Call of Home! You'll find they will be useful finishing the Spire and invaluable in areas beyond!

And there's one quest you can lose, if you don't have it yet. The last town hall quest involves someone on the other side of DragonSpire, and I believe he's still there whether you get the quest or not. So be sure to get the quest first, or you'll pass up some easy XP.
