Are u going to fight the NAGA or the priestess after Naga-Battle ?

WillowIX 01-04-2003 07:05 PM

Try browsing through the best tip thread. There are some tips on how to finish the Naga, as well as getting one of your characters the snake skin trait.

Taski´s Tip:

I used the spell DAZZLE and after 3rd try the naga was affected and she was TOTALLY UNABLE to fight :D
Beware of "green lightning", that will turn the chars to stone - infight is the better chance.

Erm Ok Yeah I guess Ill Take A Priest Along (Elvish,Female) and use spells like Heroic Might and such thanks for the tips

Definitely watch out for the green breath. It's nasty... nasty...

If you got Kerielle's Elixir earlier, now is an opportune time to use it. Just don't put the naga to sleep in the doorway -- she really sleeps like a log, and won't move for anything. You'll have the opportunity to come back to get her later, and it will be worth it.

And remember most of all the mystical mantra that's been handed down through the ages...

Save early, save often, save before, save after

Just like Mamma Hissy used to say long ago, it will prolong your life and save your sanity.

*side note* Do try to remember to limit your sig to once per thread. The additional graphics can cause lots of problems for folks with slower connections, so one per page is the accepted rule in here. To remove it, just clear the box below the message area that says:

You can edit old posts to remove it if needed.

Make sure you save the game BEFORE you go down to meet the Naga. The elevator can sometimes jam, it's a game bug.
The ritual opens the entrance to the Naga & doesn't create a battle in itself.

We had little conversation with WillowIX and was it you Bungleau?
Any way, B said that easiest way to kill Naga is to cast fire/meteor storm...
Well as you see I was not able to cast 7th level spells, so I followed WillowIX's path. Killing naga with bare hands...

Cast all spells that makes your fighter's toughter, like bless, heroic might, armor, blood lust...

Then save your game.

Approach the Naga and hit her, move back behind the circle at center of the Naga chamber. ( the circle is that stone ring in the middle of that room where Naga lies. )

Watchout the green lightning as Taski said. When Naga takes it's head into back, you know she's going to hit you hard... then run away from her. ( hit will do like 1000 damage! so don't stand close to her... )

When it looks like you have succeced to do some damage, and your party is fine, save game. Use 2 slots, first before you enter into naga's room and other during the fight.

It took over half an hour to kill her so, if your men getting stoned and you have no spell or potion to uncurse it... that's when you can take from saved game...

^^

5 min, the show is over - use DAZZLE...and when the Naga vomits like a heron, give her all the steal u have :D

What to do with Xydusa:
1. Use the Scrolls of Magicshield (if you aren't able to cast Merlin's Shield). The Merlin's Shield spell lowers Xydusa's chance of stoning you considerably. The scrolls can be bought in the Mages Guild in the "members only" shop. Any number of the scrolls can be bought.
2. Use the Potions of Heroic Might (if you cannot cast the spell yourself). Both the Valeia Mages Guild and the Ishad N'Ha Mages Guild sell one Potion of Heroic Might.
3. Use the Potions of Bloodlust (if you cannot cast the spell yourself). Again, the Mages Guild sells the potions.
4. If you cannot cast Cure Poison then make sure you have one Potion of Cure Poison for each member of your party (preparation for the worst case). Xydusa is poisonous and her poisoning is really serious: you will lose 5 HP per hit by the poison. Such poisoning should be cured ASAP.
