Killed the sphinx before I gained the castle Key from him. could anyone remind me how to get in or if there's another key else where. Been through this game many times. embarrassing as hell to ask for help

You do not get the "key" from the Sphynx. You get the key (which is actually a staff) from the Lich in Skull Castle! :D

little misunderstanding, killed the sphinx before entering the skull castle, got carried away and got him while icestorming a batch of ratlings. any other method of opening the glass door at the front of the castle?

As Wyv said, the sphinx is in no way related to opening the doors to the shrine. You need to collect the Staff of Death from the Skull Castle to open them. So what you have to do is journey south and find it. [img]smile.gif[/img] Forget the sphinx.

Hmmm... What's the meaning of Sphynx?
Why does it hang in front of shrine? I know that it ask some questions, but
didn't answer to them. What should I really do with it?

Well the sphinx is there to revent unwelcomed guests to disturbe Anephas. If you don´t anwer the questions it will attack. And it´s a pretty nifty opponent. Although by the time you meet it you too are of course powerful. You can wither choose to answer the questions or fight it. It won´t affect the game. [img]smile.gif[/img]
