I've got some dilemmas here actually?
If I play the plain mage, do I get to choose to be a wild mage in BG2 (I have ToB installed)? If I play the specialist mage do I get stuck with that class? |
Unfortunately, you cannot convert a BG1 mage to a wild mage in BG2.
You have to create the wild mage when you start BG2. The same applies to monks, any half-orc character etc. If you decide to become a specialist mage, you will remain a specialist mage - and will not have a further chance to change from that specialisation. |
Dang....ALL other classes got the options to tur into kits and mages don't.

Could be Considered as S-P-O-I-L-E-R-S ahead

You more or less start over at a higher level with very little of anything in the way of weapons and armor but you will find alot of good stuff fast so don't worry just make a new character. I've done it more than 15 times from the start of BG-1 all the way through BG-II Throne of Bhaal you'll be glad you did it, mainly because you can make a more powerful character than I can ever explain. In one of my games I had a Fighter/Mage so powerful that had I had the same power in BG-1 the first time I ran into Sarevok when I was still with Gorion then Gorion would still be alive and Sarevok and all his friends would have been ashes in a matter of seconds. so don't worry just make a Character. It really doesn't matter which one because in the end you will be dead or more powerful than you can ever Believe!! God I love this Game!!!!!!!!! |
