Hi all!

Just thought I would let you know that I will be out of town until Friday. I'm going up to Stratford, Ontario to see a couple of plays. I know all the regular posters will take excellent care of the board while I'm gone. Have fun!!

*reaches into his pack, removing a packet of waxen paper and opening it to reveal a small round gelatinous object*

Here, WillowIX, stick this under your helm. After all, if you want us to keep an eye on you, what better than the eye of a beholder?

What? You don't---? Oh, you meant *watch* you. All right....

*wraps the eye back up in the paper and puts it back in his pack*

*mutters* Bet she would have liked that crystal eye from the pool in Dragonspire...

LOL!!!

Thank you one and all!!! Today I will attempt to catch up on everything that has piled up. Border Collie email is going to be first on the list and then I will be getting to all the posts that don't need any answer from me here on the board! lol!!

We had a very nice mini-vacation! It is about a 4 hour drive from my home to Stratford and the weather was perfect! Even crossing the border was no problem. ;) Wednesday we saw the Three Penny Opera, a musical written in Berlin in 1928 but set in London. It has a rather grim outlook on humanity (such a surprise given when and where it was written) but the production was very clever including such surprises as having a bum enter the side door of the theater at the beginning of the opera, generally curse the audience, storm the stage to the seeming anxiety of all the actors and stage crew and then sing the opening song - which may surprise you - "Mack the Knife" (yes, the same one that Bobby Darrin sang). That actually is the best tune in the whole opera being the only truly memorable melody. Oddly enough it was dashed off to introduce the opera at the last moment and was not given the same amount of thought and development as the other songs. Interesting.
Afterwards we had dinner at the Old Prune - a wonderful gourmet restaurant in an old victorian home. Excellent!!!
Thursday morning we went shopping. Top of my list was to hit the Scottish shop to pick up some things for Border Collie rescue and some appropriate shirts to go with the kilt we ordered for Jack last year. Shopping also had to include a stop at Balzac's Coffee shop. They roast their own beans there and make wonderful coffee!! Jack and I have them ship us some of the Old Prune blend each month! ;)
Thursday evening we saw My Fair Lady on the Festival Stage. The Festival Stage is a masterpiece. I have been lucky enough to go to Stratford to see plays for almost 40 years and the fluidity of the Festival Stage is still a wonderment! We had excellent seats considering how late we purchased them. We were first row center on the balcony which is quite an excellent spot for a play such as My Fair Lady. Henry Higgins was played by the understudy but did an excellent job!
Friday it rained to express our sadness on leaving! ;)
But I am very glad to be back home with my family and all my furry friends!

Great Wyv! I´m so glad you enjoyed it (and my lovely country as well lol ;) ). Must be the off season for tourists since you managed to get across the border without any problems rotfl :D . I have to convince the hubby to go down there next year, can´t be that far. And I second Balzac´s! Luckily we now have them up here in Toronto as well although I tend to not drink that much coffee. Caffein tend to make you hands a bit skitterish and we wouldn´t want that when trying to open up a patient.

So nice to have you back!!
