umm i just finished skull castle and i'm getting the reward from the vampires.......so which is better the ring or the key? i know what the ring does but what treasure does the key get?

The key opens the door in the lich's study (which you can also open with a high enough lockpicking skill). There are some nice robes in there, along with a few ankhs (typically).

I've never used the ring. In the unpatched game, it crashes the game, making life in the Gael Serran not so good.

well, it's up to u whether to choose the key or the ring. but since it's true, that the game crashes in the unpathced game when trying on the ring. but the key which unlocks the room in the lich's study is also useless, coz if u haf a high enough lockpicking skill or high enough strength, u can picklock or bash it open..........
so either way is useless unless u have the pathced version. if u dont, then i say kill them vampires!!!!! [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img]

Yes, killing those undead women gives you a better reward! Loads of experience points! Beware though they´re not so easy to kill as they look ;)

The vampires are easy to kill.

All you do is make them chase you down the stairs & go into the water & around the corner. The vampires cant enter the water so you can duck out & cast magic on them then duck back in to renew mana & heal. You may have to go back up the stairs to find more vampires to chase you.

oh so that is what the key does........ i wuz looking for a hidden key hole to some secret place filled with treasure all day!!! lol anywayz the vampires were actually very easy kills...... fully blessed swords and a couple of firestorms pretty much did the job........ anywayz thanks people.......
