Man I really would have to go with the long tooth dagger +2 my mage uses it and it's really bad out! looking at him holdingit, it looks like a long sword for a mage. It's so pearly white, that it looks like it's glowing.

The most effective weapon in my opinion, isn't even an actual weapon.

It's the Algernon Cloak.

The ability to charm almost any enemy and command them to fight on your side, can make short work of nearly any battle situation. And since you can acquire it at the beginning of the game, makes it that much more effective and powerful.

But if you are simply refering to the weapon which "looks" the most apealing, then I would have to give that honor to Xian's Moonblade. I also like the way that those Archmagi Robes look like when they are being worn by a mage, with the hood being visable on the head and all.

D'oh. I've never used this ability and I'm in chapter 6. Time to use it.

Ohh yes those sirines were annoying .

Always ran straight into them and "dire charme". My front tank (Minsc) then started hacking party members

i always primarily used it to try and max out my paladin's charisma.

Are there any differences between Algernons cloak and the Nymph Cloak (besides their names)?

Insane

Morgeruat 04-10-2003 01:17 PM

one is part of a quest (steal this and bring it to me), the other IIRC a reward.

my personal favorite weapon, is spiders bane.

As far as "coolness" goes:
Ashideena Warhammer plus Shield of the Fallen Stars plus Helm of Glory plus Plate+3 (requires ToSC.)
Boo ya. Lookin' sharp.

Algernon's Cloak is so obscenely overpowered it's not even funny. Yes, it is VERY different from the Nymph Cloak.

When you use Nymph's cloak you have to get next to char/monster you're charming. You can use Algernon's cloak from the distance. That's the only difference I know about.
