I started playing the game over a year ago and never had a problem with it crashing. I just started playing it again this week and it is crashing on me, it seems like more frequently the more I play. I thought I would uninstall and then reinstall the game and see if that helps, but will I lose all my saved games if I do that? I am computer-stupid. lol

NO you won't lose your saved games if you do that. If you think you will you can just copy your save files into another folder and then unistall it. This happend to me once. All I did was unitstall and reinstall.

Hope your games starts working again.

Copy your roster.dat file and your save files into another directory before uninstalling!

Good Luck!

No we donŽt like crashes! I hope the re-install worked, but if it doesnŽt give us some info about your computer and weŽll try to solve it! Since it was a year since you last played W&W you might have made some other upgrades as well, e.g. your OS.

And check Sazerac's Techie Help Desk Thread (been so long, I forgot what it's called -- I'll give it a bump if it's faded). There are lots of suggestions in there.

And if you do run into problems anyway, post back with other details (like your operating system, directx version, memory, and whether you're using the patch or not).

We'll try to get you pointed in the right direction for the high life in the Gael Serran...

Deano, I had a similar problem with many of my games last month. It turns out that I had about 50 files corrupted with the klez virus. I copied all of my save games to floppy disks then scrubbed almost every game I had and reinstalled them. I then copied my save games back onto the games. The games were then playing normally again. It really taught me the importance of keeping your virus killer up to date.
