Well, I can´t remember some certain knack for this one. Just insert CD, follow instructions, play! If you´re having problems installing the game try this:

</font>
  • Set your desktop settings to 640*480 and high color </font>
</font>
  • Shutdown all background applications (except explorer and systray) </font>
</font>
  • Make sure you have 32 bit drivers for your CD-ROM drive. </font>
</font>
  • Turn off Auto Insert Notification. </font>
If you want to install the game manually to bypass some lockups during installation you can do that as well. Here´s how:
1) Copy CD1 to harddrive either in DOS mode (recommended) or in windows. This you do with the "xcopy" command e.g.
"xcopy D:\*.* /s /e c:\wizardwarrior"
2) Locate the SSPATH.DAT file in the W&W directory. Open with notepad and do the following changes:
</font>
  • INSTALL C:\WizardWarrior </font>
</font>
  • CDROM D: (Or another letter for your CDROM</font>
</font>
  • NARRATOR C:\WizardWarrior\d6run\Speech </font>
</font>
  • SPEECH D:\d6keydisk\SPEECH </font>
</font>
  • MOVIE D:\d6keydisk\movie </font>
</font>
  • MUSIC D:\d6keydisk\MUSIC </font>
!!!Change C:\wizardwarrior to the location YOU installed!!!

Save and exit! Make a shortcut for deep6.exe and then start playing. Hope this helps! (I´m stilll not sure what you´re after, if this isn´t it please tell!)

Do you have the manule?

WillowIX 07-02-2002 05:07 AM

Yes I do, but the manual doesn´t give you any information about installing the game except
Quote:

To install Wizards & Warriors, insert disc 1 into your CD-ROM drive.
If autoplay is enabled, the option to install should appear.
When the option appears, click on the Install Wizards & Warriors button to begin the installation.
You see, there´s absolutely no informaion what so ever in there! Is your installation not working?

Tavis 07-06-2002 04:59 PM

I dont think so. Cus whene i put in Disc 1 and go to install it from my control panel it starts makeing a klicking noise and i know theyr is nothing rong with my computers cd thingy or the disc!

WillowIX 07-06-2002 05:21 PM

Control Panel? What are you doing there? Try installing the game manually, instructions above. If you´ve got win2k that´s out of the question though. There should be a copy of the manual on CD1. Hope this helps!!

How do you get it to AutoPlay????

WillowIX 07-09-2002 11:11 AM

The autorun should start up automatically when you insert the disc. If the CD is in the drive when you start up your computer, it won´t. To get to the nistallation screen manually, open your explorer, browse to D: (or what ever letter your CD-ROM have). Then doubleclick setup.exe. This ought to open the installation screen. If you want to make CDs play automatically I recommend this tool TweakUI. In this you can select a number of small settings, including cds to autplay (under Paranoia). To get this go here TweakUI. DO read the warning and the bug info first!!! Or better print the if you can. One is quite severe (control panel access)!!! And there´s help on the site how to correct this problem.
