RESETTING the game is done on the computer options screen - icon is on the lower left corner of screen when you are playing. It is different from revert. Revert takes you back to the last town you visited. Resetting starts the game from scratch.

There was an "unofficial patch" released for W&W which fixes some known bugs (and/or features). I personally don't use the patch. If you think you might like to, check the BEST TIPS thread - there is a post in there which will tell you what the patch fixes and what it takes away. If you think you want it, there is a link on the Ironworks W&W page to where you can download it.
