is it worth going ranger for the flechery skill?

and where are rapter eggs?
thanks

Is it worth it?

Let me give you the Mastercard commercial.

Bow. 70GP
Dragon Arrow (bought or stolen back from Torin): 600GP
Blessing to level 12 Damage: 1 million GP

Churning out new blessed dragon arrows every 20 minutes that you can sell for 400,000 GP each: priceless

Seriously. A quiver of 49 nicely blessed dragon arrows is worth somewhere around 15 million GP when you sell it.

Get fletchery. Your money problems will be over.

Oh, yeah. There's one spot where you can find raptor eggs along the river to Ishad N'ha. It's a little clearing on the west side. After that, they're all over the place in the Enchanted and Lost Sea areas.

How do you get the flecherey skill eneyways? I would like to know cus it would be realy usefull once I think about it.

Fletchery (not to be confused with Lechery, which can be studied at the Boogre Bar on certain evenings) is available from the Warrior's Guild once you are level 5 and a ranger.

One note of warning: After achieving fletchery, be wary of changing class to something that can't wield a bow. No bow, no arrows, no Lambourghini raft in the Gael Serran...

The only advantage of a ranger is his Fletchery trait. Otherwise, the character is quite useless. He cannot use katanas. He cannot use 2 weapons - the only "second weapon" allowed to a ranger is a bow. Rangers suck.
As far as the trait is concerned, I do not know whether the trait works only if you are a ranger or whether you can change class. All warrior classes can use bows and arrows. Therefore, the bow shouldn't be the obstacle. Perhaps somebody on the forum knows more.
The trait seems to be the only money generator after installing the patch. Thus, think of a ranger if you are patched. Otherwise, I recommend to use rangers for getting the Vine magic and for nothing else. Get the magic and change class.
One final note about enchanting the arrow. As we can see, the Dragon Arrow is enchanted and duplicated. I daresay it's not the optimal solution. The Dragon Arrow is already enchanted twice. Therefore, you can add 10 blessings for damage or hit. Now, the cost of an enchantement doubles with every new enchantement of the same type. An arrow blessed 12 times for damage or hit is much more expensive and gives you much more money after duplicating and selling than an arrow with 10 enchantements, even if the later arrow itself is expensive. Therefore, I recommend to try blessing a super ordinary willow arrow 12 times and compare the money offered for it with the money offered for a 10 times enchanted Dragon Arrow.

I'm not sure if you can learn 'second weapon' as a ranger, but if the 'second weapon' skill is learned before becoming a ranger, 'Katana' is the only second weapon you can not use. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...ons/icon12.gif

BTW...My assassins are still able to use 'Fletchery', I think warlock is the only Elite role that can not use a bow.

I concur with "B". Also, if you didn't start as a Preist, Ranger is the only way to get vine early. You will not stay Ranger long anyway, it's just a stepping stone for other classes, and of course gold. Flectchery is da bomb.

A normal willow arrow maxxed out will only yield you a few thousand per arrow, peanuts compared to a maxxed dragon. You can't make it all at once. The last batch I made was as a zenmaster, and I recall it to total about 12 mill to enhance at maxxed 14 damage. They sell for about 1mill each.

BE WARNED, if you create and sell too many all at once you can go NEGATIVE in the gold, doing so will cause you to either reload, or craft until you get back to a positive gold.
