I still have no idea why someone advised hanging onto the gems UNLESS they are the eyes of the colanth.

You haven't "bugged" me!! Odd as it may seem after all the months I have spend on this board often answering the same questions time and again, I enjoy it! And my memory has gotten rusty on some details so I welcome any opportunity to refresh my memory or learn something new - which still happens!
