Im trying to get a guy up to lev 50+ in each class and so far have managed it in Warrior/Barbarian/Paladin/Warlock/Ninja

I've two probs one with the monk and the other with the samurai the monk quest never seems to be over, though ive gone around for more than two days with no armour or weapons the guy just says ive not done it.

The second is where the hell is the damn baton thing for the samurai??

Welcome to the board, Geldethi!

MONK QUEST: If you go into the guild to check if you have completed it BEFORE the 2 days are up - you RESET THE CLOCK and are starting all over again.
Take the quest and go off and do a lot of things. SAVE outside of the town before you check. If you haven't completed it yet, RELOAD your game!

The Baton is to be found in the woods south of the Shurugeon Castle. You have to swim in the moat to even reach this area. If you have difficulty finding it still, check Xignal's great maps/walkthru at:

Good Luck!

The best tip I can give you for the Monk's quest. Get out of town, Climb the wall and jump on the other side (the "in-town" side). Save your game and go to bed. Tomorow morning, save your game and enter town. You should be a Monk

Also, I think you have to finish your training by going to the Bushi Dojo, so make sure you pop in there to check. Make sure you have absolutly NOTHING equipped, i.e. no potions in pockets; no rings on fingers; no arrows in quivers; etc. I made that mistake the first time I tried it.

Another thing: I'm not sure, but I've heard from others that going into dungeon areas is the same as entering town--it resets the clock. I've never tested this, so I'm not sure. I hope that's not true, as it would be very unfair.

I think your best bet is to just wait outside the gate in the "Neutral Zone" by yourself, with nothing equipped (and to be safe, nothing in your inventory either)and let the game run over night. Make sure you save before going in to see if enough time has passed!

Good luck!
