I trained one of my characters in Ancient Lore, as that is supposed to allow them to identify items. That gets very costly in the shops. My question is how do I get the character to use it? My Forge/Blacksmith got a choice to repair in the item ID box, but my Ancient Lore just got the regular box. Is it just that the character is not good enough, yet? These items were ones that are picked up often, not some exotic item. I expected to get some use out of that training. Am I just being impatient, and later on my character will get better?
Thanks for any info you can give me.

Here's a list of skills and traits. Note that the Ancient Lore trait also requires the Artifact skill before a character can ID items.

To paraphrase...

Just like the Blacksmith trait gives you access to the Forge skill, the Ancient Lore trait gives you access to the Artifacts skill. The higher your Artifacts skill goes, the more you can identify.

IIRC, you can start to identify Ankhs around level 6 or so. Once you're at that level, anything you *can't* identify is something worth paying to ID, generally...

Just be patient, right click and I am sure once your level status is high enough, you will beable to identify items with no prob.

Peace :D
