I can't get through the flame pit in the Wizards' path in the crypt dungeon...I tried the method provided by Ironworks, but it doesn't seem to work...Every time I leave the center flame the portcullis closes and I can't find out how to keep it open. Can anyone help me?

Try having your lead character carry a crate or a chest in front of them as you run at the gate. The chest/crate will reach the gate before your party and keep it open long enough for you to get through!

Hi Laminak -

I know this might be a bit late, but for the benefits of others who have the same problem there is another solution.

When I tried the method suggested by Wyvern, I found that the box would go through the gate without getting stuck in the door - and I still couldn't get out!

(NEXT PART OF MESSAGE MAY BE CLASSIFIED AS A SPOILER)

What I DID discover, was that you could get through without the door shutting by:

1. Go through the first fire and directly to the centre to get life.
2. Go back between the Life Fire and the first fire.
3. Turn left to the middle left fire and go through to the space.
4. Pull the lever at the back of the wall.
5. Pass back through the middle left fire to your position at (2.)
6. Repeat (3.) and (4.) on the right side.

You will notice that the two front fires have stopped burning, allowing you to pass around the sides safely. When you go over the spots where those fires used to be burning, you will notice that the door is open, and you can pass through into the next section.

If at any point after (2.) you go back into the Life Fire in the centre, the door won't open.
