Hi,

I know there is a lot on this topic, but I cannot seem to search the archives to find my answer. Is the search feature going to be working sometime soon?

Anyway, I am in Toad Village and I am not quite sure what to do. I went to Ekbu and said Ukabu. He then said I need to see the shaman and told me to get lost. So I left his hut and am now looking for the shaman. I have swam around the lake, but it seems like there are no entrances to the other buildings. Can someone point me in the right direction? I don't want to make Ekbu hostile towards me, but I cannot find this Shaman.

What you want is to drop down the hole (or carefully go down the ladder) IN Ekbu's hut. There are some underground tunnels to explore and ladders heading upwards. One of them will get you to Shinwiki's (the Shaman) hut. Talk to Shinwiki and onwards from there.

I'd suggest reading some of the tips about the toads, given the problem of toads blocking your path. also, unless someone else was able to, dont waste time trying to get into the room with 2 troughs and a bunch of crates - i spent some time trying to get in there, killing the toad, running/jumping etc.. never could get in.

Also, when you're in front of Shimwiki (the shaman) tell him that you're UKABU...

Where can I find tips on Toad Village? A search on this forum is not turning up anything right now...I heard it is one of the more buggy parts of the game and I want to make sure I get through without creating problems for myself.

The easiest way to complete all of toad village quests.
1. Get mageshield from wizard guild and toad quest from the armory.
2. Tell ekbu ukabu
3. Drop down ladder and talk to any toad you see, then go to 2nd ladder and up.
4. Make sure your first character is selected to talk to shinwicki. Let Shinwicki stop talking. Tell him ukabu. When he is finished talking again tell him goodbye.
5. Drop down ladder and follow cave to next ladder.
6. Go almost to center of island to where you can see the totem and cast mageshield on all your characters and save the game.
7. Go to totem. Look slightly to the right for first monster.
8. Kill all monsters.
9. Open chest
10. Touch Totem with each character for five points.
11. Go back to shinwicki and make sure the same character is selected
to talk to him again.
12. The above can be accomplished the first time that you receive the toad quest and the problem with the toad being in you way will not appear. It is when you come back to talk to shinwicki the second
time that the problem appears.
