I've just finished all quests in the Ishad N'ha area and have been exploring around accumulating XP and role ascending before venturing past the city Roon or whatever it is. Any suggestions on how long to stay in a role and if it's better to try and attain as many as possible or to have each character focus of just a few for a balenced group. My warriors ascend every 9-12 levels and have been Barbarians, Samuri, and now Rangers. I would like to end them on Paladins. I haven't even ascended my wizard yet. I thought I would give him most of the sun and stone spells then finish as a Warlock. My rogue attained 11th level and is now a 12th level Bard. Should I keep going with them longer to attain as many spells as I can or change more often? My method seems to be working well so far. But will I need more rounded characters in the Ocena realm? Thanks, Tahawus.

The rule of thumb seems to be level 9-10 for warriors (no magic) and level 12-14 for magic users. One thing for magic users: make sure that you get all the high level spells in the realm you'll loose before you change. If you don't plan on coming back to that realm, get at least one lvl 7 attack spell before you change.

For exemple:

Wizard changed to barbarian and then samourai: don't waste your time in sun 'cause you get it back when you go to samourai, but, make sure that you get meteorstorm before you leave the wizard role.

Cheers and good luck
