Help!! I'm trying to ascend my thief to the Ninja class. I'm told at the Dojo to lower the drawbridge at the castle without awakening the sleeping spirit. I accomplished the requirement, made it back to the Dojo. But the Dojo Master doesn't graduate my Thief. Anyone out there know what I possibly missed? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, it's strange that you didn't get credit for the quest. The guardian spirit always hangs around the lever to the drawbridge, but as long as you don't touch it you should achieve ninja status when you've lowered the drawbridge. Maybe it will work if you take a second shot at lowering the bridge.

Go back and check that the drawbridge is still lowered. Sometimes it isn't and if it isn't - you can't be a ninja yet. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

This quest sounds harder than it is - not disturbing the spirits - all you need to do is not fight anyone. Run in, lower the drawbridge and split!

you must've disturbed the ghosts
here what worked for me
take your group and kill all the ghosts first, kill the major specture on top of the bridge, and go the back to talk to dojo again. (don't save your game)
THEN go out alone to try to lower the bridge again (make sure not to disturb the specture or the specture's not there)

When I ascended, I killed the spectre, no big deal at the dojo>
I'm running the 1.0 unauthorized patch.

When in doubt, hide in shadows, await for the backstab>

I never knew that not disturbing anything could prevent you from completing the quest, I just slaughtered everything in sight, then calmly walked in and pulled the lever, went back to town and became a Ninja.
