In the manual it states that the journal is a historic record of your experience to date, however, i've noticed that some of the roles that my characters have achieved are no longer recorded on the journal page (the page listing experience). I was wondering whether this is the norm or is there some other way to access the complete role history of each character

I expect that this might be the norm though I can't say that I ever paided that much attention to it. Like the skills scrolling off the page, so may part of your characters' history. If you have reset the adventures, all that history is gone and you start out from where your characters were when you reset. Sort of a clean slate which can be useful for changing to roles you may have had in your previous game.
