Hi all!

I have read several posts concerning the Assassin quest and the ratlings...but none I read mentions what happens when you kill them and get the dagger (in fact, i got 2 daggers when I killed them)...will that be enough to get the role ascesion?

Killed them? Rascallion? Or one of the random encounter ratlings?
You have to differ between them, Ras is standing next to the burnt-out house on the way to shurugeon castle , a little to the north of the usual path.
And you have to do his quest (killing the stout in the mine, the one deep below that even freyedies wants dead), to get the assassins dagger, looks like a skull dagger, but is more powerful, and any char that holds it in his main weapon hand while entering the pawn shop is asked only once wether you want him to become an assassin or not!

Killing them or pickpocketing them results in only getting a regular dagger!

Also, I you won't get the option to become an assassin if you kill Scanthril prior to completing the assassination of Rascalion. So leave him be until you've become an assassin and then whack his ass http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

As already mentioned, you can't kill Scanthril and complete the assassin's quest. You need him alive for that. Good luck!

Well, i saw no Rascallion, but the guy called Scanthril, I think. I read in one of the spoilers that it's enough to enter the pawn shop with one of those black daggers equipped to get the quest, but apparently killing that ratling at the burned house (whatever his name) is not enough. Still, I got the two black daggers for killing that guy, and they are pretty cool themselves. Thanks for the hints, I might go back to a previous savegame, the assassin role seems quite good.

You should not kill the rat, Scanthril, until after you are an assassin! Talk to him about a job, he will then give the job to kill the stout, Ras(?). After the deed, go back to the rat, and he will marvel about the look in your eye and give you the assassins dagger. This is the only dagger that will get you the title of assassin at the Pawn Shop, (Bratsol). It must be equipped with the character that you want to become an assassin.

When my ratling got back to Scanthril after murdering Raskallion, he just said somehting about 'I suppose you want your payment?' I waited and he said nothing. I then said 'payment' to him and he said to go to the hole in the hill to the north and to say that scanthril (him) had sent me. He said they would take care of me. But when I got there, I found out that it was the Boogre Prison? What should I do?????
