Whilst taking one of my low level parties for a walk around Nymph lake one of them who wanted to be a Paladin (but didn't have all of the prerequisites) approached the statue and said the time honoured phrase. She responded in the traditional way and I found myself thinking "does this mean that I won't have to do it later (as in lowering the bridge for the Ninja promotion quest) or will I have to do it again (as in the Sword of Mastus and Ring of Saints quests)? Any answers will be gratefuly accepted.

I do think it will qualify as does the drawbridge/ninja quest but I'm not absolutely positive. You'll have to let us know if it works for your character!

Well, since another character (who is eligable for promotion) didn't speak to it I'll see if it even works like that (but I remember Father Telar having to go back to one of them in order to be promoted). I'll let you know as soon as Sigurd get's another three or four levels. See my above post (now below) about the unusual key occurance in the Serpent Temple.
