I have gotten as far as Chapter 5 and I cant seem to enter the city. Im sure I have completed all of the quests but I still cant get in. Am I supposed to have something with me or do something special. I have this bad feeling that I forgot something and I have NO idea what it is. Can someone help?

are you sure you've entered chap. 5 coz after killing the
mage in the mines you should wait untill the new chapter text comes
becourse else you are still in chap 4 so not able to travel to baldur's gate

Are sure you've entered by the gate.

After leaving the bandit camp I went to the mines, talked to the dwarf freed the miners and managed to defeat that Davaeron guy I took the key and flooded the mines, but I still cannot get in.
