I feel foolish but I can't figure out how to leave this place. I've given thte relic to the Lich and have the staff but how do I get out?

When I try to go back out through the Maze, the way I came in, the current is to strong. There must be an exit that I'm missing. Would someone please enlighten me please.

I usually take the Adrianna route.

From the tilting bridge jump into the water and take the SE waterway. Go through the vampire's room, take the door exit, swim through the tunnel (flipping the underwater winglatch) and surface in the cistern. From there make your way back to the entrance hall by heading easterly and then up the stairs.

Thanks for the help. Like I said I feel foolish but couldn't figure out how to get back since the door was closed behind me. Have gotten outside now and am ready for the next dungeon.
