Entered a cave and during a speech, came across this,

Btw, for those of you who don't know, Jon Irenicus is the main baddie in BG2. ;) </font>

We had a talk about this some time ago, and I think the name was actually Jon Icarus. Someone pointed that we might be talking about the same Jon anyways.. it was just that the name was too Greekish to Faerun, or something, and it was changed to Irenicus.

I guess you're referring to the spider-woman. She is cursed by Jon Icarus.
Judging by other earlier posts, the makers later found the name to sound too "latin" and changed it to Irenicus in BG: II [img]smile.gif[/img]

When the deed was done, and Tanova lay dead I was exultant, but not for long. Jon went mad with fury, and using his powerful magics, divined the identity of his wife's murderer. He arrived at my tower, and I allowed him entry, desirous to finally consummate our love. Jon disabled me with his spells, then he cursed me to this body, and set spiders to feed me and keep me alive. So you see, if you were my friend, you would kill me.

I didn't get the dialogue that Vedran posted, but what I got is what I posted in my first post. It was definitely spelled "Irenicus" in my game.
