OK, so I'm in the room with the stairs and the holes. I have the wooden sticks, but the guy who has them is insane, so I can't get to the sticks. Will the insanity go away?

Very unpleasant thing this insanity is, isn't it?
Insanity won't go away by itself, it can be cured with Restore Health (lvl.6 Spirit spell) or with Exorcism (lvl.7 Spirit spell). And, of course it can be cured in Temple, but it seems you can't go to any temple right now.

Hey young fella might want to learn this from me old timer,

Don't waste your time with the sticks, just jump up to the ledge. You caracters can most likely make it (lvl 12 in agility should be enough... make sure you're green in weight).

According to my experience, Exorcism does not heal Insanity. You must cast Restore Health.

All you need is one Stick to Get ot and Then Jump around

Remember when trying to escape to look up slightly and use the shift(run) and the zero key on the number pad(jump). Hope you have made it out by now!!

Can't you access a char's inventory indirectly by accessing another char's inventory screen, and then switching to the one you want? That's what I've always been able to do, though I can't remember using that on an insane char specifically.

Radek, I think you have it backwards. Exorcism works. And you can't enter his inv. when he's insane dude. Try the super jump like Wyvern says. gl

Went back from before insanity and ran the gauntlet again. Jumped around
got out....I"M FREE, except for a small service charge.
