I found the tome of fire in the serpent temple..but am not sure what it is for. I'm sure it's for something special or for a quest..but I have read thru all the quests etc in my characters journals and have not found a reference to it thus far...

It's one of the four tomes required for advancing a character to Zenmaster. This occurs near the end of the game so be patient and collect the other three tomes of the elements as you head westward.

Make sure you keep the tome!!! You need it to become a Zenmaster! It happens toward the end of the game but it's well worth the wait!

You had better keep it and get the other three tomes in the Boogre Prison and Sunken City and Cets Tomb

I obtained it in 1 of the final battles that or in the locked room that you can open with the key you get from the Serpant Master.

It's in a chest in the locked room past the Naga and before the elevator maze.

Well i guess ill be going through the serpent temple looking again, cant miss out on this zenmaster thing everybodies so gung ho about.
