I have killed Scabban and threw the switch, and am in the room with all the bones. There is a button, I pushed that....BUT HELP ME!!! *grin* I can not get out of this room. I know I am over looking something, but please a little guidance would be greatly appreciated.

When you're in Scabban's room look down through the open shaft in the floor. You should see water below. Jump down into the water, take a deep breath, and swim down through the opening (the button you pushed opened the blocking grate). Swim fast (use Shift-key) through the underwater passage to the next area.
