...a useful program that allows tweaking, cheating, roleplaying, etc.
But it is not so user friendly as ShadowKeeper, Aaron O'Neil's program for BG2 editing, and doesn't allow adding of user-made items and spells. But now, things are changed! Sword Coast Keeper is out! Well, it is since November, but hey, download it now and enjoy in the whole new level of cheating, tweaking and roleplaying! NOTE: This program is not made by me, it is made by Denis Ribayrol. I am just spreading the word. |
Nifty! I don't have much reason to download it myself, as I seem to have misplaced my BG1 CDs, but it sounds great!
What more does it do that Gatekeeper doesn't, besides editing items & spells? |
Yeah good question Six? Is it better than Gatekeeper??
|
I would like to know if you can make your own weapons too.
|
It looks same and works same as ShadowKeeper, but it is for BG1. That means you can edit global variables. I don't use those programs too much, so I don't know precisely.
Gheital, you can make your own weapons with other programs (Infinity Engine Editor). |
So is there going to be a modified shadowkeeper too ?
I'd like to be able to edit weapons and spells, then add them into the game. AFAIK, Shadowkeeper allows neither ATM... Come on Vedran, you're the messenger, you get stuck with all the questions .. It's only fair ;) EDIT: Oopsie, too late [ 02-18-2003, 06:39 AM: Message edited by: daan ] |
Thanks Vedran. I've been wondering that is there a program like that for BG1 because I made some weapons for BG2 and it was great. I won't be able to make anything for few weeks now, but should we make a thread about making your weapons?
|
Is there anything similar available for the mac, or is it pc only?
|
Maybe you could post a few screenshots of your homemade weapons Gheital??
|
To get things clear:
-ShadowKeeper, GateKeeper and SwordCoastKeeper CAN NOT create or modify items. They can, however, add existing items into your saved games (GateKeeper can ADD only items that came with the game, and the other two can ADD even user-created items). -Infinity Engine Editor Pro makes items/spells for BG1, BG2, IWD and PS:T. The effects are not the same for all the games (for instance, you cannot create item that lowers magic resistance in BG1), so click Game Choice -> BG1 to create items for BG1. -MAC question: I don't know, try it. Aren't there some "Virtual PCs" or "PC emulators" for MAC? |
