Hi, can anyone tell me what is the purpose of the Spirit of Rumphy... I did not try to kill him in my game. Are we suppose to get rid of him? and is the rewards worth it?? Thanks...

Rumphy is there to provide new parties with experience points - and a nice wand when he's defeated (magic works best). He'll respawn, too.

Yes, Rumphy just keeps on coming back so when you're party hits about fifth level go and dump mighty ammounts of not too sweat smell sustances upon him for recurring experience and wands. You can sell the wands for reasonably large ammounts of money. It helps you to afford chainmail for those all important frontline fighters.

where is this Spirit of Rumphy?

CCannon: Seek him in the extreme southeast section of the first level of the Crypt. You have to get past Kerah's gate to get to him.
