OK, So I've read all the posts on the lamp. However, I've never used it and can't seem to use or invoke it. Anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution.

Hello and welcome to the Board.

Here's how to use the lamp

click on the caracter carrying the lamp
click on the use/give item icon
make sure you're on use
scroll until the lamp is in the window
Pressing the CTRL key, left click on a character (right hand side of the screen)

That should do it. The Jiny should now appear (he looks like a blue devil).

That's what I'm doing. Hmmm, I wonder if it has something to do with the fact I waited until now (I'm in Cet's Pyramid) to use it? Weird... Maybe I hit a bug.

And you never use it before? That's weird. Maybe Wyvern will be able to help you out.

Quick Q. Are you in the pyramid? If you are, you can try using it outdoors. That's where I always used it before. Also, try selecting other characters than the one carying the lamp.

I believe using the lamp has some restrictions - it should be used outdoors only when you party stands on the solid ground (I mean ship or rift won't do). And it seems the lamp can be used at any moment of the game, so that you have almost finished isn't a problem.
As Ryanamur said, try to use the stubborn item outdoors!

Sniff...I never got to use the lamp either.I accidentally hit the djinn.He said something like Now I'll make a wish out of you,Hit me once knocking everyone down pretty bad and dissapeared.I had not saved in about 6 hours so there was no turning back.
