I can't get out of the town of Ishad N'Ha. (The gates don't highlight for exit)
I've read past messages and I tried Sazarec's solution. I was able to download the Virtualdub, and was able to open up the file townmsk1.avi.
However, when I attempted to "Save as old-format AVI" I got the following error message: AVIOutput: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
I'm not running W&W, so I don't know what it's reffering to. My OS is Win2000 Pro. I also downloaded DirectX 8.0.
I hope someone can solve this puzzle. Sazarec, hopefully you read this!
Thanx, Natas

You might try saving to an alternate name and location. When you've "dubbed" all of the files copy them back into the original folder and rename them.

Welcome to the board, Natas!

We've seen this problem before. Check the Best Tips thread to see if the solution is in there. I will do a search and see if I cannot bump up a thread on this topic and get your problem solved!

Hey thanx for the tip Rick, it worked. Now I'm having a problem with the game crashing on me everytime I use the spell burn among other things. I've had that problem before, and usually restarting the computer or reinstalling W&W would take care of it. However it doesn't seem to work now. I made the mistake of installing Direct X 8.0, and I think that's what the problem is. Do you guys know if there's a patch somewhere or where I can find out how to remove it from my pc. Thanx for all the help.
Natas,
Thanx for the welcome!

Hi Natas!

Check in the Best Tips thread - there should be a link in there that tells you where/how to uninstall directx 8 - if not there is a thread on the topic too that should be easy to search out.

Good Luck!

Wyv
