What am I doing wrong? I said Ukabu to the toad I was supposed to, but regardless I cannot get to have a positive discussion with the Shaman. Is there a special word I need to say to him in order to get the quest from him?

Did you talk to Mekdawa first? Did he tell you to say "Ukabu" to Ekbu yet? If not, go back and find him on the banks of Nymph Lake. (Just stand around at the eastern dock, and he'll "happen by" soon on.)

If not...try getting a little closer. Ekbu should recognize you and tell you to leave. Say "Ukabu" to him (from the talk list) and he should then welcome you in.

i dont know if this matters but when u talk to medikiwa use the same person to talk to ekbu and say ukabu, but remember "toad village is for toads, warm skin not welcome here, u warm skin, u not welcome here, TOAD VILLAGE IS FOR TOADS"
