I accepted his quest to kill that stout in the mines but when i was wandering around (before being munched by the mantraps)i ran into these blackleg and redleg guys and some other rat types and they attacked...and i killed them...does that mean that I can't become an assassin or is it okay as long as i don't kill him until after the mines?

If they're not Scanthril's guys, don't worry about it. You're going to be attacked by a LOT more ratlings as well, more than likely, in your journeys. It's the same as H'Thark and Gorthius; they don't care how many Highland Rogues you took out! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif
