PLEASE can someone help me get into baldurs gate, please!. i got to the part where the bridge is broken. can someone please help me out thanks

The bridge is not broken, is just open because of the danger of bandit raids. You first have to enter Cloakwood and work your way to the cloakwood mines, enter them, get to the lowest level and defeat Davaeorn. This will start chapter 5 and the bridge to Baldur's Gate will be open.

can you tell me how i can get to cloakwood mines. i looked on the map and i tried to exit the friendly arm inn to get to cloak wood but i wasnt sure if i had to beat something before i can get to cloak wood, please help

First clean out the Nashkill mine and read the letters on the chest at the bottom.
The letters lead you to a courier in Berghost. "Defeat" the courier to find out where the Bandit Camp is.
Clean out the Bandit Camp and talk to the prisoner or read letters to find the first of four parts of Cloakwood.
Go through all of Cloakwood and the Cloakwood mine. Defeat the bad guy at the bottom of the mine.
Now the drawbridge should be passable.
