So Mekdawa says go to Ekbu and say Ukabu. i did that but Ekbu and everyone at the Village just plain ignores me. And I think this was cos I may have killed a toad villager by mistake earlier on(they all look alike anyway).


Tried everything - hail, Goodbye, Trade etc even entered UKABU in caps as well as some words I wont print here (har har). And finally out of frustration I had to massacre every toad in town just so I could get to Shinwiki who then says 'Evil you are evil'


yeah right. I flamestrike (flamestruck?) the guy and he's toast opened the trapdoor and got to the totem area. Wasted the Scabbans, easy really with Flamedrop and a bit of running backwards and went back to Mekdawa and Valeia for some exp. Hardly a scrath with level 5 chars.-- Except for falling down those stupid ladders.


Question : Was the Shaman supposed to give/tell me something?? I need to know if I should reset the game

if u talk to him for awhile he gives u a quest. i think if u say ukabu i starts his whole speech. if u complete the quest he gives u a spear.

Welcome to the board, rat!!

Shinwiki would have rewarded you for getting rid of the evil at the totem area. He doesn't have anything important to tell you for later in the game and the reward isn't so great that you absolutely need to restore your game (unless your conscious is bothering you) http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif.

I've noticed, since Ekbu isn't alone, that sometimes it appears you are talking to him but you actually aren't. COuld that be what happened to you?

If you were told about the evil by Shinwiki then he would give you some gold (600 or so) and a spear (Enchant+1 Hit+1 4-10 damage I don't think it's blessable). I wouldn't fret too much if you missed this, a Longsword +1 (which you can by now through the warrior's guild) is better and there are lots of other weapons to get too. 600 gold isn't that much anyway.

That and the spear can't be blessed later on anyway...it's not really worth that much, except to lower-level parties.

Just worried I may have adversely affected the game(Ive had it happened before in other games)

and a spear and a longsword +1 isnt worth it. I think my party has better weapons!!

I've had the same problem. I NEVER made any aggressive move on either Ekbu or the guard in the room. I even went back to talk to Mekdawa again. He says to help the toads! I even tried the Charm spell on every toad in sight. According to the message window, the spell was successful, but still nothing useful from Ekbu. Every one of my characters said "Ukabu" to the @#$% toad without anything nice in return. I made sure Ekbu was targeted each time. For what is's worth, I never did get the 'ctrl to target' message when talking to Ekbu. Does this mean anything? The shaman says I'm evil (who told him?) What if I simply skip this part and go kill the bad thing (for the points if not the $ & prizes?) Other than this quest, I've done everything I can in the eastern segment of the map. I'm thinking Ekbu might be better with a pinch of oregano. Any other thoughts?
