I just installed this game and was wondering about D3D support. I found the graphics option but the only choice is Software Mode. I have a Radeon card but it doesn't seem to recognize it. Anyone have a similar problem and know how to fix it. I am excited to get into it and I would like to see it with the best possible graphics too.

Welcome to the board, scurlis!!!

I'll bump up a thread that might be of some assistance - Watch for Saz' Techie desk thread. Some cards are not supported by this game and some folks with cards that were supported found that they prefered the software mode anyways.

These are the supported 3D cards:
Supported Chipsets for 3D Acceleration in Windows® 95/98 (optional) **

3dfx Voodoo Banshee
3dfx Voodoo 3
3dfx Voodoo 5
ATI Rage 128
Matrox G200
Matrox G400
nVidia TNT
nVidia TNT2
nVidia GeForce
nVidia GeForce2

* Important Note: This product uses MicrosoftâDirectX 7.0a technology, which requires your system to have the latest Windows 95/98 drivers that fully support DirectX 7.0a.

** In addition to software rendering, Wizards & Warriorsä supports 3D Acceleration using Microsoft’s Direct3D to support 3D hardware acceleration. This feature requires a 16 MB video card with DirectX 7.0a compliant drivers. Wizards & Warriorsä has been tested on many but not all of the major cards incorporating the chipsets listed above.

I noticed that the Radeon was not an officialy supported card. Does this mean that I will never be able to play in D3D mode unless another patch is released. I do have the latest ATI official drivers(7075) that are DirectX 8.0 compliant. I also have DirectX 8 on my machine as well.

Also, if by some chance I can't get D3D support then is there a way I can get the resolution up to 1024x768?

Not in software mode, scurlis.

I run in software mode and really find it great! Maybe you will find that you like it better than you think once you get used to it.
