When you walk by Mekawa, try with different characters 'til he asks you if "you need to know what Ukabu means". When he does, keep that character and answer "yes" or "no".
Tried this with each character but he never gives me the "yes" or "no" answer

Then, go the the Toad Village, say "Ukabu" to Ekbu with the same character that last talked to Mekawa.say Ukabu but he just looks at me
and nothing happens
this is the third time I played game
and I remember that I did it the first time

this is driving me nuts

Did you try to restore a game prior to having gone to Toad Village or consider resetting adventures and starting over?

What about reseting the game to be a fresh start from the last time you left town?

Mekdawa should actually stop and talk to you if you haven't recieved the quest from him yet. The answer to "You need know what Ukabu mean?" is Yes.

Well, whatever you decide, not finishing Toad Village won't affect the rest of the game but I personally like to cover each area of the map. If you are at all the same, I can see how this situation has you so frustrated and I am sorry you have to experience it! The game is really fun and TOad Village was one of the biggest challenges in the earliest stages of the game.

I was playing in Dragon Speir
when I restarted the game

I checked the Quest section just to see what
was said by Ekub
it said Warmskin kill them
so I guess I am off to do something else
