<h6>"Mavin In Excelsis": Dalvadore Sali</h6>

A breakthrough work of art in the vein known as "Surrealism" is highlighted this month at the Brimloch Roon Museum of Modern Art, located at 1307 West Sabastio, Brimloch Roon. The painting, entitled "Mavin in Excelsis", is shown above, courtesy of the photographic efforts of Sageridder, our newest staff member. This work, destined to become a classic in its genre, is the latest ouvre of Dalvadore Sali, one of the premiere artists in the Gael Serran.

The surrealist elements in the painting are made clear, first with the artist's clear use of chiaroscuro, the doorways leading into infinity, and the altar of the Mavin rising up to touch the star of Kerah, just to its right. The painting is largely done in golds, representing the rising of the Mavin at the dawn of the New Age of peace and enlightenment, the final age when Kerah and Anephas shall reign supreme over the Gael Serran.

According to Sali, the doors are the pathways into the past and the future, while the floating chests represent the trappings of the present, the material element which binds Man to the mundane world. The Mavin, separate and apart from the chests, represents the sublime, that which we all achieve towards as heroes of the land.

"Mavin in Excelsis" can be viewed at the Brimloch Roon Museum of Modern Art, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily, through the end of this month. Tours welcome, but reservations must be booked in advance.

Keep watching for updates to the Gael Serran Examiner. Remember: Minds that need examining want to KNOW!

Hmmmm. . . seems this museum may be worth a *trip*! This article rings of truisms and makes me wonder what other treasures may hover about in this museum. Anyone else have pictures of fascinating artifacts from here? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Great pic, Sageridder!
Cool article, Sazerac!
