i have a few questions about traits.
1) evil eye, cabalist : what do these traits do? how do you use them
2) when i bless items i can only give them 'toughness'. what do you have to do to get different blessings
3) anyhting i should know about enchanting?

I'll push up a really excellent post on enchanting and blessing which will tell you far more than I ever could.

Evil Eye casts a curse - if you click on the "Dragon Breath" icon on the middle left of your screen you should be able to scroll through the other traits that you can cast (if you have any).
Cabalist is necessary to learn to enchant items!

Evil Eye is a "gaze" weapon; pretty much the same one that the Naga uses. It has a variety of effects, including stoning, paralysis, out-and-out slaying (very rare), or general damage effects.

You activate evil eye by pressing on the 'dragon breath' button; there you can select it as an attack.
