Once, many moon ago. i had BG on my comp., when, lo and behold, an evil demon came and smote( or is it smited???) my hard drive. My parents upon carefully inspecting my poor smote(or is it smoted) PC asked me " Dost thou wanteth this predicament to continue, surf?" "If not you must go to the sacred CONTROL PANNEL and be rid of this most hideous game. However, on the most joyous day of the birth of Christ, i was fortunate to recieve a gift of a hard drive enhancement unit. Now cometh my most horrible problem. I cannot reinstall the game. I can installeth any other game (BG2,Fallout,IWD,IWD2)but even after taking all those off I can still notrun the game. WHAT IS THE MATTER??? Plz help me.

I assume you mean BG was too big for your old HDD?

You have two options:

Easy way - format your HDD and reinstall windows and everything from scratch. Backup saves and documents first mind.

Hard way - load up regedit (start->run->"regedit")

THY WILL MAKE A BACKUP IN REGEDIT, ELSE WE WILL LAUGH AT YOU WHEN IT BREAKS

use the search option and look for the values Baldur and Bioware - remove them all. You should uninstall all other bioware games as well, or youll break them when trying this.

But it is basicaly one big spoiler/walkthrough for BG2/ToB so dont read it if you dont want to know whats coming.

dont advise regediting here, they'll end up causing big probs if they mess with registry though heres a hint to those cover cd 30 day trial programs, delete the registry key for continued use but again only if you know what your doing otherwise you end up with one buggered up windows copy.

Which is why I said to take backups. And I meant it. Anyone who dosent take a backup and kills their registry deserves no sympathy.
