I am not sure what I did but now whn I enter town I get a black screen and no town. I have tried replacing all the files they recommend in the read me, and reinstalled the codecs etc...

Any help would be apreciated.

What's your hardware and memory, Daremo?
Using the patch?
Running in software mode?

Daremo, if you double click on any AVI file (like in Wizards and Warriors\townavi folder), will the Windows Mediaplayer play it correctly or do you have only black then too?
(Note that the townmsk?.avi are mostly black with several brightly colored shapes.)

I can play all the movies including the masks no problem in media player.

I am running a P3 550 with 256MB of ram and a geforce2 GTS with the nvidia 6.50 drivers.

All other .mpg and .avi movies I have play fine.

I have also tried reinstalling DX8 and the drivers for my video card.

Eeks. DirectX 8 has been credited with some major problems with some games, although I and others are running it without problem. There's a thread on that somewhere around here...do a search on "DirectX 8" and it may solve the problem. Hope so!
